This new restaurant is proposed to occupy approximately 3,000 square feet of main floor space in an historic building along Park City’s main commercial strip. With the existing main entrance located at the center of an elongated floor plan, the primary goal of the design is to unify the main dining room and lounge to feel like one cohesive environment. The kitchen area features a wood-burning open hearth and chef’s counter.seating. Two variations of a simple interior concept were explored. Both utilize simple wall, floor, and ceiling treatments which allow a single wood clad design element to boldly define seating areas, display wine bottles and stemware, store hearth logs, and connect the dining experience to the chef’s philosophy toward food preparation. Digital fabrication processes were explored early on to experiment with wood forms and sophisticated textures.
