Logan Avenue Residence

Residential, Interior Design

A Mid-Century Modern suffering from some 80’s renovations by a previous owner, this interior renovation seeks to restore and complement the home’s original character and design intent.  With a focus on the Entry, Living Room, Kitchen, and Dining areas, the floor plan is opened up to improve circulation and visual connection without losing definition of each individual space.  Existing built-ins between two brick features are removed and replaced to create a small bar/pass-thru.  In the Living Room new built-in cabinetry pulls down vertically from existing roof beams above to provide storage, display, and seating.  New casework and bench storage in the Entry extends into the Kitchen, passing a feature island with ample prep space and guest seating.  The back wall of the Dining Room becomes a multi-panel sliding glass door, so all of the living spaces extend out to an impressive backyard.
