A competition held for a vacant lot in downtown Salt Lake City, this temporary installation proposed a space for performance and gathering that could be used until the permanent addition to the Capital Theater is constructed. Using a series of shipping containers and landform interventions, we divided the lot into a series of activities – contemplation, performance, observation and nourishment – that could activate the space throughout the day.
